This is the Privacy Statement and Cookie Statement (“Privacy and Cookie Statement”) of PanalStore (“we”). PanalStore is responsible for the processing of personal data collected via this website (“PanalStore.com”, “the Website”). Personal data is any data that can be used, directly or indirectly, to identify you as a person.

At PanalStore we respect your privacy and we will comply with the requirements as laid down in EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This Privacy and Cookie Statement explains the purposes for which we process your data, the categories of data being processed, the use of cookies and how you can exercise your rights in respect of your personal data. 

WHY WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA AND WHAT DATA WE COLLECT:

PanalStore is an E-commerce site. We store data when you place an order, create an account, leave a comment or review, send a contact form, sign up for a newsletter or interact with the site. Below is an overview of what information we collect and where it is used for.

ORDERS

When ordering on PanalStore we collect the following personal information:

  • Your name, billing and shipping address, email address, credit card/payment details, and the products you purchased;
  • Your location, IP address and browser type

We do this to:

  • Correspond with you about your order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, requests from and enforcement by regulators, tax authorities and investigation authorities
  • Prevent fraud
  • Estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order


PAYMENTS

We accept payments through Visa, MasterCard, Ideal and PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe and PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

ACCOUNT CREATION

Creating an account is a quick and easy way to maintain a relationship with a customer. You create an account by registering with your email address. 

After registering we can ask you to provide:

  • your name, billing and shipping address, email address and credit card/payment details

We do this so that:

  • you can keep track of your purchases;
  • we can populate the checkout for future orders;
  • we can send mail regarding your account.

NEWSLETTER

If you choose to give us permission for newsletters, we may send you marketing mails with relevant content. Relevant content is established by actions such as adding products to your wish list and/or your basket. PanalStore uses Mail Chimp for these emails. Read Mail Chimps privacy policy here.

We may also send you information about the PanalStore brand and upcoming events or sales. You may unsubscribe from these emails at any time.


COMMENTS AND REVIEWS

When you leave a comment or review on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. 

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


CONTACT AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT FORMS

Contact and customer support forms contain the name and email address provided by the user and may include a message. This information is solely used for the purpose of the request and will be deleted within 6 months of the last correspondence.

PanalStore uses the Akismet plugin on the site, the contact form submission data — IP address, user agent, name, email address, and message — is submitted to the Akismet service (also owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. We store the actual submission data on the database of PanalStore. This email will include the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name, email address, website, and message.

What we collect and store while you use the site

To make sure the contents of the store is as relevant as possible we:

  • keep a record of your email and cart contents for up to 30 days on our server. This record is kept to repopulate the contents of your cart if you switch devices or needed to come back another day;
  • track the products you have added to the wish list: we will use this to show you and other users your favorite products, and to create targeted email campaigns;
  • we’ll keep track of the wish lists you create, and make them visible to the store’s staff;
  • track the products you have viewed: we will use this i.a. to show you products you have recently viewed;
  • improve our store offerings.


PROVISION OF DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

We respect the confidentiality of your data. PanalStore will under no circumstances  sell your personal data to third parties. 


COOKIES

This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that we send to your browser so that we can automatically recognize your browser next time you visit the Website. Cookies can compile data that is linked to the use of the Website, e.g. which pages have been visited and the duration of the user session.

PanalStore uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the functionality of our Website. These cookies enable you to move around the Website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the Website. Without these cookies, specific features of the Website that are needed for it to function as a Webshop, like shopping baskets or online payment, cannot be provided.

You can set your internet browser to reject cookies or to alert you when cookies are being placed. This may mean that you can no longer use all the features of the Website.

Only after obtaining your permission, PanalStore will place cookies that are not strictly necessary. If you do not give us your permission, these cookies will not be placed on your computer.

If you leave a comment on our Website you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. When you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

In case you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.


EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.


MEDIA SHARE BUTTONS

For promotional reasons, we have Social Media Share buttons on the product sites. Personal data may be collected and processed by Facebook and Instagram. INTERNET SITES OF THIRD PARTIES

This Privacy Statement and Cookie Statement is not applicable to websites of third parties that are associated with our Website via links. Any such websites are subject to any terms and conditions and privacy statements as concluded on those websites


HOW LONG YOUR DATA IS RETAINED

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 2 years after your last purchase for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also store any comments or reviews you may submit.


WHO ON OUR TEAM HAS ACCESS

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information such as what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information such as your name, email address, and billing and shipping information

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.


YOUR RIGHTS OVER YOUR DATA

If you have an account on this site, or have submitted comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we change or erase any personal data we hold about you (this does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes).
